One of the reasons I became a wedding planner was seeing so many couples planning the wedding they'd dreamed about for years—only to slowly reshape it around everyone else's expectations. Sometimes that guidance comes from a place of love, and sometimes it genuinely enhances the day. But other times, couples find themselves making decisions simply because it's what they're "supposed" to do.
